Dalia is a member of the Board of Directors. As a lifelong advocate for education, Dalia recognises the fundamental role that an independent and impartial academic institution can play in resolving conflict and contribute towards Lebanon’s recovery and long-term stability. Now, three decades since its foundation, the Centre has achieved international recognition and plays a pivotal role as a focus for academics, journalists, researchers and students. It has become a major international resource for Lebanon.

The Centre for Lebanese Studies (CLS), founded in 1984, is an independent academic research institution whose purpose is to promote international understanding of Lebanon and to help find solutions for its problems. Through research into the political, social, educational, historical, economic, and cultural issues of Lebanon, the Centre also provides support and information for governments and international institutions in the formulation of their Lebanese and Middle East policies.
