Dalia is a founding member of the Global Advisory Board of the Knight-Hennessy Scholars. The Knight-Hennessy Scholars programme is Stanford University’s multidisciplinary post-graduate scholarship focused on preparing the next generation of leaders to address the complex challenges facing the world.
Each Knight-Hennessy Scholar will benefit from leadership development, mentoring, and cohort-based experiential learning. Over time, international students will comprise about two-thirds of the Knight-Hennessy Scholars.
The Knight-Hennessy Scholars programme’s 14-member Global Advisory Board has three primary roles: as ambassadors building awareness of the programme, as guides on admission and program development, and as mentors for Knight-Hennessy Scholars. The Middle East is an area of strategic focus for the programme, which leverages Dalia’s experience advocating conflict resolution and promoting education throughout the region. In particular, Dalia offers special counsel to the Knight-Hennessy Scholars programme in generating interest, nurturing relationships, understanding context, assessing candidates, and supporting Scholars in/from the Middle East.
"Ms. Salaam Rishani's varied leadership experiences, extensive network, and keen commitment to the ideals of the Knight-Hennessy Scholars make her an exemplary member of the founding Global Advisory Board."
